Workshops & Training

A tailored workshop is an ideal way to bring a team or group of varied stakeholders together around a topic to increase shared awareness, explore topics, and implement strategic changes successfully. Workshops can include an action planning process and post-workshop support, and include a suite of tools, resources and links to further advice.

“Kambe were commissioned alongside Resource Futures by Bristol 2015 Ltd (the company set up to deliver Bristol’s year as Green Capital) to create a comprehensive strategy for promoting green events in the city, producing three green event guides, supporting integration of sustainability into the site permissions process, and delivering training. We highly recommend them for their comprehensive knowledge of implementing sustainability measures at events. ”

Case Study - European Green Capital

In 2015 Bristol was presented with European Green Capital award that recognised city’s environmental performance. Throughout the year Bristol 2015 produced multiple events with a goal to engage event organisers to deliver their ‘greenest’ events as well as provide them with comprehensive information.

Kambe Events joined in to run a number of workshops and provide training for event organisers for Bristol 2015 and Bristol City council. 95 Bristol event organisers, from local community events to bigger festivals, attended these workshops. The content was tailored specifically for their audiences and the council’s requirements for their community event leaders. We have received great feedback with participants saying that they were feeling more confident putting on a sustainable event. Since the workshops were such a success in 2015, the council requested a follow up training in 2016 as well. Since then we have seen festivals making change to their operations like introducing reusable cups and plates and powering the events through bicycles.
