As we close the door on 2022, we’ve taken a look back at the many initiatives and experiments we had running behind the scenes at our flagship event, Shambala Festival, last year in our ongoing quest to reduce our impact on the planet, hammer down our remaining carbon footprint and improve our impact on community! There were some great successes, as well as some definite room for improvement. For example, Shambala’s carbon footprint actually saw an increase, for the first time in a long time!
We’ve always been big on transparency, so we’ve decided to crunch the data on all our various initiatives and share the impacts with everybody in our extended community. We’re all in this together and it takes all of us doing our part to continue to be pioneeringly sustainable; audience, artists, suppliers, crew, creative folks and every one in between.
